The Cons:SATA interface won't fit older laptops or external HDD enclosures with PATA interface only. Not as fast, physically resilient or silent as a solid state disk.
Western Digital's WD5000BEVT laptop hard drive is a high-performance device with SATA 3Gb/s interface, 8MB cache, and 5400 rpm rotational speed. The drive is very quiet in both idle and read/write modes, and due to its standard drive height of 9.5mm it is an ideal upgrade for most laptops.
