The StarTech S2510PESAT is a 2.5" external hard drive enclosure featuring both USB 2.0 and Power eSATA port options. The latter is significant, as it enables the user to connect the drive with a single cable for both power and 3Gbps high-speed data transfer to a computer with a Power eSATA port (often called eSATA/USB combo port).

This port is also able to take a standard eSATA cable (without power), and there is a separate mini-USB port for USB 2.0 compatibility. It is made of aluminum and plastic, and is a tool-less design that provides easy access to the enclosed drive. Hot plug and play is supported with both eSATA and USB, and one green LED indicates power and disk activity. The package includes a soft carrying case.
