Sony VRD-P1

The Sony VRD-P1 DVDirect Express is a multi-function DVD writer that works with the Sony Handycam camcorder. It is simpler than most DVD recorders, using a one-touch recording system that snatches the latest video on the Handycam camcorder at the touch of the button, and transfers it to DVD.

The Sony VRD-P1 is not compatible with all Sony Handycam Camcorders, it only functions with the following: DCR-SR47, DCR-SR67, DCR-SR87, DCR-SX41, DCR-SC40, and DCR-SX60. Since it is so simple, the DVDirect express doesn't offer that much flexibility when it comes to producing the movie or syncing with a large variety of devices like the Sony VRD-MC5.
