Frank Schneemann: #sony_dvdirect_vrd_mc10 Do not buy the Sony VRD-MC10 DVD Recorder.
Picture quality is poor - sometimes get scrolling bar accross DVD's - Does not burn from all sources - Often refuses to copy "color source incompatable" - cannot use external monitor while burning - can't get any answers or help from sony - very frustrating.

Suggest you try the older SONY RDR-GX7 for copying or recording DVD's

Been trying to archive old video tapes to DVD and have waisted a lot of time and effort
