Seagate Pulsar SSD

The Seagate Pulsar SSD is Seagate's introductory product into the solid state drive market. Solid state hard drives differ from standard drives by containing no moving parts and operate in a similar way to a computer's RAM (or memory).

Due to the lack of moving parts, solid state drives produce significantly less heat, less noise, and consume less power than standard drives. SSDs also benefit from a faster start-up time. The Seagate Pulsar SSD is available in 2.5 inch form factor and can hold up to 200GB of information. The drive is intended to be a complementary addition to computing systems, not a replacement of standard drives, specifically targeted to house information that needs to be readily available for instantaneous use at all times.
