Seagate Momentus 5400.5

The Seagate Momentus 5400.5 is a mobile hard drive that comes in 80, 160, and 320 GB storage capacities. It is intended for mainstream laptops, external storage solution boxes, whitebooks and industrial applications that require smaller form factors.

This is a slow 5400 RPM machine, offering a notably slower performance than the 7200 RPM ones and has only 8 MB of cache, not the best in the market (their standard is pretty much 16 MB cache drives). This piece is pretty robust and rugged, it handles 1000 Gs of nonoperating shock, and has a G-Force Protection™ available for added robustness. This model is more quiet in idle mode than the some of the other models in this series such as Seagate Momentus 5400.6.
