Seagate BlackArmor NAS 400

$1,200.00 Released June, 2010

Product Shot 1The BlackArmor NAS 400 is a network storage device from Seagate that offers a step-up from the company's BlackArmor NAS 110 model. Available in storage sizes ranging from 4 to 12 terabytes, this model utilizes four pre-installed hard drives for synchronized data sharing across a maximum of 50 machines.

Mac and PC connectivity is supported with native Time Machine support for the latter, and iSCSI compatibility offers supplemental storage to interlinked server systems. VMware Ready technology is also available for use with virtual servers, while Microsoft Active Directory helps to simplify initial domain configurations. If at any time one of the NAS 400's drives is removed, users can access the Seagate Active Directory service for comprehensive file recovery. Two ethernet ports are fitted on the unit for establishing a strong router connection, with four USB ports available for direct connectivity. A 3-year limited warranty is included.
