This particular model is the second in the Extreme series, a step up from the "Extreme III" model, but below the "Extreme" one. Its read/write speed capability tops out at 45 MB/s, 15MB/s faster than the Extreme III. This relatively fast rate is mainly intended for high-definition continual shooting modes or video capture. It has a lower range of capacities than some of SanDisk's other Extreme CF cards. It performs weather under extreme weather conditions, like low or high temperatures, and is shock- and vibration-resistant as well.
