This particular model is actually the most basic of the Extreme series, as it has the slowest read/write speed, at 30MB/s. Still, this is a fairly fast rate and is mainly intended for high-definition continual shooting modes or video capture. It has a lower range of capacities than some of SanDisk's other Extreme CF cards, but also has the lowest price point. It performs weather under extreme weather conditions, like low or high temperatures, and is shock- and vibration-resistant as well.
