Samsung EcoGreen F3 (F3EG)

The F3 (F3EG) is a mid-priced 2TB internal hard disk drive in Samsung's EcoGreen series. The EcoGreen label signifies the use of Samsung's EcoTriangleTM technology. EcoTriangleTM technology consists of the use of eco-friendly components, as well as low-power and low-noise (w/ SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technology) operating technology (w/o halogen compound or brominated flame retardant).

The result is that the F3 (F3EG) drive scores a zero percent failure rate in the unstable voltage environment test, and the EcoGreen series has been voted best-in-class in the area of power consumption for two straight years by IDEMA (International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association) Japan. 500GB larger than its predecessor, the F3 (F3EG) has enough storage to facilitate up to 880 hours of DVD video, as well as 500,000 or more songs in MP3 format. There is a 1.5TB version of the F3 (F3EG) available.
