Inside the device users will find a Marvell 800MHz CPU and 256MB of DDR2 memory, which enables stable data flow and performance. Compared to the higher-end QNAP TS-419P, this model ships with a simpler hardware configuration, and therefore is intended for less intensive network scenarios. Hot-swappable drive bays and advanced RAID functions are included to eliminating server downtime when expanding or migrating. The iSCSI protocol is supported for linking to other storage devices over a local network, wide area network or the internet. Other features include a built-in UPnP / DLNA media server that allows multimedia content streaming.
