QNAP TS-259

The QNAP TS-259 is a network storage device intended to be used as a data storage unit that can share access with several connected computers. Instead of having copies of desired files stored locally on every computer system, they can be kept in one location and given simultaneous access to all users on the network.

In addition to sharing files and folders, the device can also serve as a connection for multiple printers to be used by each computer connected, a file back-up drive to prevent data loss, and a web server. The QNAP TS-259 can hold up to two hard drives and utilizes an Intel Atom 1.66Ghz Processor with 1GB RAM for fast data read and write times. The device also has several indicators for the status of hard drives, LAN connection, and a lockable tray to secure hard drives once installed. The hard drives are not included with the device and must be purchased separately.
