Product Shot 1The Pioneer BDR-2203 is an internal PC, Blu-ray Disc/DVD/CD combo package featuring a disc reader/writer a plethora of software. Once hooked up via its Serial ATA interface, the unit can write on Blu-ray discs at up to 8x , but reaches speeds of 16x/32x when handling DVDs/CDs.

Plus, as was previously mentioned, the device comes with software: Power Direct 7.0, Power DVD 8.0, and Power 2 Go. These alow for testing, creating, and playing back Blu-ray/DVD content, as well as easily backing up the associated files. Other notable aspects of the Pioneer BDR-2203 include support for “Buffer Underrun Protection,” vertical or horizontal installation, and high-storage capacity up to 50GB on dual later BD media.

Additional Information

The Pioneer BDR-2203 is a step up from the BDR-203, in that it includes BD/DVD content software. Otherwise, it is a near duplicate.
