PhotoFast PowerDrive

Released October, 2010

Product Shot 1The PhotoFast Powerdrive is a high-end solid state drive. It is similar to another solid state drive by Photofast, the 1.8" GMonster MicroSATA V3, as they share aspects with each other. Both SSDs serve the same function, and both support the same operating systems.

However the Powerdrive builds on everything the 1.8" GMonster MicroSATA V3 has, by giving a bigger selection of models (comes in 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB), and far greater speeds, reading at 1.4 GBps, and writing at 1.5GBps (as opposed to 200MBps and100MBps). The Powerdrive features nearly instant access to data, as it's reading speeds allow it to read the equivalent of two CD-Rs every second. Asides from this, the Powerdrive also features a 512MB DDR2 cache built in, which can help enhance the speed of the drive. It does this exactly the same way a computer writes data to RAM, allowing for even faster speed than what normally would be possible on a SSD.
