Product Shot 1The OCZ Vertex 3 Pro is one of three speed solid-state drives (Vertex 3 EX, Vertex 3 Pro, Vertex R3) released together in early 2011. Unlike the Vertex 3 EX, the Vertex 3 Pro relies on MLC NAND flash memory, making it a little less friendly for enterprise and server grade applications.

Otherwise a duplicate, it too uses a SATA III (6Gbps) interface with a Sandforce SF2582 controller. This allows it an 80,000 IOPS, which translates to sequential speeds up n ear 550MB/sec write and 525MB/sec read. It too is available in various capacities, including 50GB, 100GB, 200GB, and 400GB.
