A mini USB port is also included for the purpose of updating the drives' firmware should new versions become available. OCZ claims that these SSD drives use 50% less power than the most advanced traditional HDD drives with their moving parts and all, while at the same time performing ten times faster. Another benefit is they are so light and compact and use little battery power which makes them ideal for laptops and are a fast growing market. RAID support is also offered which makes it possible to run multiple drives together as one big drive, and they are rated at 1500G of shock resistance. Those seeking even faster performance and onboard RAM might want to check out other OCZ drives such as the Vertex Series.
