OCZ Onyx Series SSD

The OCZ Onyx Series SSD is a budget-friendly, 2.5” solid-state drive (SSD) released in March 2010. It retails in a 32GB capacity size for under $100, making it, according to Engadget, “the most affordable MLC-based solid-state storage solution to date.

” It fits into a SATA-II slot and offers speeds of up to 125MB/sec (read) and 70MB/sec (write). OCZ speaks of the SSD’s Indilinx controller, which they say allows the drive to deliver an enhanced computing experience with faster application loading, snappier data access, shorter boot-ups, and longer battery life.
