OCZ Onyx 2

The OCZ Onyx 2 is a high-end multi-level cell solid state drive designed to balance the higher speeds of SSDs with price. It boasts a read speed of 270MB/s and a write speed of 265MB/s as well as up to 10,000 random write Input/output Operations Per Second (4k aligned).

Additionally, the Onyx 2 is available in two capacities: 120GB and 240GB.

The Onyx 2's fast read/write speeds ensure faster application loading, near-instantaneous data access, shorter boot times and decreased energy usage (reducing battery usage on laptops). When used as a system's primary OS drive, the Onyx 2 can boost system performance noticeably. Meanwhile, the Onyx 2, like all SSDs, boasts a much longer operating life than standard hard disk drives as it features no moving parts.
