However, the miniStack v3 not only has more types of connections (including eSATA and FireWire), but it also has larger amounts of storage (the models range from 500GB-2TB, as opposed to 160GB-750GB). The miniStack NAS features quiet operation, which naturally keeps the drive quiet as it runs. This lets the user use their computer in peace, without any distracting loud noises, even when the hard disk is writing. It is also able to handle wireless connections from up to twenty computers at once, giving them all full access to the drive and enabling sharing between them. This lets a large amount of users perform reading/writing actions on the drive, all at once, as long as they are using a Windows computer (Macs are limited to one user writing to the drive at a time). As well as these, the miniStack NAS also features options for read and write privileges for other users. These options are: No access, read-only, and full-access. If the user doesn't trust another one, they can keep all of their data protected by using the no access and read only options.
