Lite-On DX-8A1H-05

The Lite DX-20A4PU is a super-slim, portable DVD/CD writer featuring LightScribe disc-labeling technology. User can burn images directly onto a CD or DVD—useful for organizing music, videos, and other files.

Once connected, it writes to DVDs at 8x, which truthfully is rather poor versus its competitors. On the bright side, however, the unit is affordable and also boasts a plethora of useful features (aside from LightScribe). For instance, the DX-8A1H-05 includes SMART-BURN, which automatically adjusts the writing strategy, while also ensuring zero pesky buffer-under-run errors. Also to note is SMART-X, a function that adjusts CD-DA / VCD / DVD data extraction to the fastest possible speed allowed.
