The Pros:Bandwidth handling is good, sends files quickly over the network. FTP functionality is reliable and easy to set up. Can run in mirror mode with another computer's directory, working as both a backup and a server at the same time.
The Cons:Loses network settings on power failure. Slow access times when used as a media server, takes a long time to provide access. Accessing content over the Internet works, but establishing the initial connection takes time.
The NMH300 is a networked home media server from Linksys. While disks are not included, the two storage bays enable up to two terabytes of storage capacity. The device provides an interface for organizing, accessing, and streaming music, videos, and pictures from all the computers on a home network.

For additional fees, the media stored on the NMH300 can be made accessible over the internet. Automated or manual backup capabilities are built in.
