LaCie Slim Blu-ray

The LaCie Slim Blu-ray is an upper mid-cost optical drive. This optical drive is designed for use with USB 2.0 PCs and laptops. The Slim Blu-ray allows you to record, rewrite, and play back BD and DVD video.

This optical drive will write to a BD-R at 6x (dual-layer at 4x), a BD-RE at 2x and a blank DVD at 8x. The Slim Blu-ray optical drive comes with CyberLink Blu-ray Disc Suite, the software needed to get this burner going. The CyberLink Blu-ray Disc Suite also has video and photo editing capabilities. As this optical drive does not require a power supply (it is bus-powered), you can burn and watch discs on the go. At 5.4" x 6.1" x 1" and 11.3 ounces, this optical drive is easy to carry around. The LaCie Slim Blu-ray optical drive comes with a two year warranty.
