This solid state drive is USB 3.0 SuperSpeed certified, meaning it delivers file transfers at speeds ten times faster than USB 2.0. The read speed of the HyperX MAX 3.0 is 195MB/sec. When paired with a USB 3.0 compatible device, the write speed of this solid state drive goes up to 160MB/sec. The HyperX Max 3.0 is also fully compatible with USB 2.0 devices, as the speed defaults back to USB 2.0 capability. The aluminum design of this drive helps to make it durable. The Kingston HyperX Max 3.0 is shock resistant.
