Kingston DT101G2/4GBZ

$19.99 Released January, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Excellent file transfer performance, better than advertised in some cases. Reliable memory as well as a good warranty from Kingston. Cap-less design, no need to worry about losing caps again.

The Cons:Pre-loaded software that auto runs every time the drive is plugged in, annoying, can be fixed via a quick reformat. Poor construction and materials, the plastics feels cheap, and the cap mechanism is not particularly strong. Pre formatted to FAT32 for Mac compatibility, Windows users should format it to NTFS for larger files.

The DT101G2/4GBZ is the 4GB installment of Kingston’s DataTraveler101 Generation 2 line of USB flash drives. The drives are budget-priced and are extremely portable, with a swivel design that both protects the USB connector and allows access to it.
