Intel X25-E Extreme

$400.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1The Intel X25-E Extreme is an SLC-based flash solid-state disk drive released as a replacement to the MLC-based X25-M. The single-level cell (SLC) NAND technology allows it direct access to each bit of data, which in turn enables much better performance for random access and write operations.

Suffice it to say, the X-25-E Extreme is built specially for high-end servers operating enterprise-level applications. And unlike a conventional hard-disc drive, the X25-E can handle a greater workload with less space, zero cooling, and bare-minimum power consumption. It is available in either a 32GB or 64GB format; both deliver 170MB/s sequential writing and 250MB/s sequential writing.
