In addition, the E5K500 internal HDD utilizes perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) technology to deliver breakthrough capacity & reliability. Plus, the E5K500 includes TrueTrack Technology with a high tracking accuracy, Thermal Fly-height Control (TFC) for a bteter soft error rate, and specific firmware enhancements so that the unit can deliver 24x7 access to data. The Hitachi Travelstar E5K500 retails in a SATA 300 interface with 400GB and 500GB models. Prices range between $150 to $350.
