Hitachi Travelstar 7K320

The Hitachi Travelstar 7K320 is a high-capacity, high-performance, low-energy notebook hard drive that fits at the top of Hitachi's Travelstar line of hard drives. This hard drive is capable of up to a 1136 MB/s media transfer rate with a 16 MB cache buffer.

  This 2.5 inch drive is available in 80, 120, 160, 250 and 320 GB models, all of which spin at 7200 RPM. To increase reliability, it is capable of handing a 400G operating shock and 1000G non-operating shock, and features Thermal Fly-height Control and TruTrack Technology for a better soft error rate and tracking accuracy in high shock or vibration environments. This low-energy hard drive uses 1.8W of power during read/write operation and only 0.2W while on standby. The quiet acoustics allow for a better audio-listening environment when watching movies or playing games. Other features include a SATA 3 Gb/s high data throughput, and optional bulk data encryption (SATA 1.5Gb/s).
