Hitachi Endurastar J4K50/N4K50

The Hitachi Endurastar J4K50/N4K50 is an industrial strength hard drive that is a part of Hitachi's Edurastar line.  These hard drives are built to withstand extreme environments, such as in automobiles, GPS navigation and in hot and humid climates.

The 2.5 inch Hitachi Endurastar J4K50/N4K50 is available in 20GB, 40GB and 50GB models, which run at 4200 RPM, and use a PATA-100 interface. These durable drives are cabable of operating in temperature ranges from -30° C to +85° C and are usable up to an altitude of 5,000m, They have several reliability features such as a high-endurance FBD motor, a built-in shock sensor for increased data integrity and Thermal Fly-height control for an improved soft error rate.
