Hitachi Endurastar J4K30/N4K30

The Hitachi Endurastar J4K30/N4K30 is an industrial strength hard drive that is a part of Hitachi's Edurastar line.  These hard drives are built to withstand extreme environments, such as in automobiles, GPS navigation and in hot and humid climates.

The 2.5 inch Endurastar J4K30/N4K30 is available in 20GB and 30GB models, both of which run at 4200 RPM, and use a PATA-100 interface. These durable drives are cabable of operating in temperature ranges from -20° C to +85° C and have several reliability features such as a high-endurance FBD motor, load/unload technology for reduced disk wear and a built-in shock sensor for increased data integrity.
