Corsair Flash Survivor

$230.00 Released April, 2004

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Durable connection port, resists damage from bending. Stylish design, smooth metal looks better than most USB sticks. Relatively high read and write speeds for a thumb drive (around 30 and 12 MBpS).

The Cons:On-board drivers require almost 500MB of storage space, which is unusable. Fairly high price for portable flash memory.

The Corsair Flash Survivor is an extremely sturdy flash drive originally released in 2004 (4GB, 8GB, 16GB), and then later upgraded once in 2004 (32GB) and then again in 2009 (64GB). As well as being perhaps more storage than any other USB flash drive in existence, the Flash Survivor and its peers—review additional information—utilizes a CNC-milled, anodized aircraft-grade aluminum case with an EPDM waterproof seal and a molded shock-dampening collar.
