Corsair Flash Survivor GT

$270.00 Released September, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Fast read/write speeds. Limited 10-year warranty. Highly ruggedized aluminum enclosure which is water resistant to 200m.

The Cons:Technically slower than the previous generation (8GB) Survivor. MLC based rather than SLC based (the previous generation was SLC based). If the controller goes your data is essentially gone - not as easy as a disk drive to have professionals recover your data.

The Corsair Flash Survivor GT is a military-grade USB flash drive released in 2009 as an upgrade from the original Flash Survivor. Not only can it withstand vibrations, shocks, and 200m of water, but the GT is also military certified to handle the most extreme situations, including being baked, boiled, or frozen.
