The Buffalo Technology LinkStation Quad is a portable Network-Storage Device featuring four 2.5” HDDs. The system supports RAID 0 (Stripping w/o Redundancy), RAID 1 (Mirroring), RAID 5 (w/Redundancy), and RAID 10 (Stripping/Mirroring).

Unique about this system is it snap-off front plate, allowing users direct access to the unit’s quick-swap HDs. Other notable components include Web Access (optimized for iPhone); a built-in DLNA multimedia server for uploading files while away from home; a BitTorrent client; a DirectCopy function for saving files directly from a USB-attached storage device (e.g. a digital camera); and Active Directory Support. The LinkStation Quad retails in five forms, from just 1TB all the way to 8TB.
